Cashalo awards outstanding retailers at first-ever Partner’s Night

Cashalo, the responsible fintech platform serving millions of unbanked and underserved Filipinos, held its first-ever Partner’s Night—a thanksgiving program dedicated to the company’s industry and retail partners, recognizing their role in the in the fulfillment of its business goals and financial inclusion initiative in the country.

 

The event likewise recognized partners who made a significant  contribution to the expansion of Cashalo’s overall sales growth, and helped drive the mission of providing financial opportunity to the underserved Filipinos. Among the over 30 awards presented were the Industry Partner Award, Top New Retailer Awards, Top Outstanding Cashalo Partners, and Awards for Top Partners under the Department Stores and Mobile & Electronics categories.

 

Cashalo Partner’s Night also shed light on the company’s overall achievements and key milestones in just a year of operations. These were delivered by Cashalo General Manager Hamilton Angluben and Head of Sales Gerard Betita. They were joined by top executives from Oriente, Cashalo’s parent company- CEO and Co-founder Hubert Tai and Vice President of Offline Retail Sales Vlastimil Hrabal.

 

“We believe that Filipinos need better options to purchase high-ticket items. With Cashalo, customers have the flexibility to purchase big or small products without being limited to financial capacity. Cashalo was also able to drive more customers for us,” remarked Home Along Owner and Operations Manager Alvin Tso, who is among Cashalo’s first retail partners since 2018.

 

Leading shoe retailer Vans Philippines’ Chief Operating Officer Tina Ortiz adds that the partnership with Cashalo is timely as they have been looking to expand their payment options to better cater to their customers. She shared that since the partnership began in August, they saw an increase in the number of store visits and are now able to serve a new market.  

 

Cashalo reassured partners that the company will continue to work towards network expansion and offer its products to more cities in the regions of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol and Central Visayas to serve more unbanked and underserved Filipinos. To date, over 100 retail  partners have shared Cashalo’s commitment of accelerating financial inclusion in the country across more than 600 stores nationwide.
